DOSING AND ADMINISTRATION

DOSING AND ADMINISTRATION

FASLODEX Injection is dosed once a month after Month 11

FASLODEX® (fulvestrant) Injection 500 mg dosing
FASLODEX® (fulvestrant) Injection 500 mg dosing

Consistent regimen:

  • FASLODEX 500 mg is administered as the same dose whether it is used as monotherapy or in combination with either palbociclib or abemaciclib1
    • A FASLODEX 250 mg starting dose is recommended for patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class B)1
  • Because FASLODEX is an injection administered by a health care professional, you can confirm that your patients are receiving their FASLODEX doses1

Additional dosing information1

  • FASLODEX 500 mg should be administered intramuscularly into the buttocks (gluteal area) slowly (1-2 minutes per injection) as two 5 mL injections, one in each buttock, on Days 1, 15, and 29 and once monthly thereafter1
  • There are no known drug-drug interactions with FASLODEX1
  • FASLODEX is metabolized primarily in the liver. A 250 mg dose is recommended in patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class B). FASLODEX has not been evaluated in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh class C)1
  • Because FASLODEX is administered intramuscularly, it should be used with caution in patients with bleeding diatheses, thrombocytopenia, or in patients on anticoagulants1
  • Caution should be taken while administering FASLODEX at the dorsogluteal injection site due to the proximity of the underlying sciatic nerve1
